"As a Camp Administrator, I am always looking for speakers who can keep the attention of children and teenagers while still driving home a Biblical lesson. I have found this in Billy Oakley. Billy has been our Camp Pastor at Green Country Camp in Disney, OK, several times over the last few years. Of the several pastors I employ each summer, he is one I would like to have every summer if possible.
I don't know if it is the illusions he does or the humor he uses, but the kids are never bored. On the other hand, I never feel as though Billy O sacrifices true, down to earth biblical teaching in the name of entertainment. He is a great balance of both which is why he is so well loved here in Northeastern Oklahoma! Oh, and his squirrel song is a real hit!
The kids love how he spends down time with them even when he is not "on the clock" or on the stage. From swimming time to rec games, Billy O is not a “behind the scenes” camp pastor. He truly cares for the kids. I also appreciate that Billy is very professional in his booking process. He is dependable, and in camp ministry, dependability is key. You won't go wrong with Billy O.
